Hi guys!
I'm audiopaal, a 27 year old guitarist from Stavanger, Norway. This is my entry to the Student Instructor Competition.
If there's anything more you want to know about me, just ask smile.gif

Now that the formalities are out of the way, let's ROCK!!! laugh.gif

This is a Rock & Roll Lesson in the Key of B, for the seasoned beginner. It's fairly easy, but with a few tricks up its sleeve wink.gif
We'll be using the Mixolydian scale (I think laugh.gif) in B and E for this one (pictures below borrowed from jguitar.com)

The backing track is at 180BPM, now that's rock & roll people laugh.gif
There is also a 90BPM backingtrack included for slower practicing, as well as Guitarpro 5 files and full tab in txt format.

Techniques used:

- Rock & Roll Strumming
- Bends
- Alternate picking

You beat me??? Oh man sad.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
Thanks, I recorded the guitar through a BOSS GT-8 multi-effects unit. The drums are Drumkit From Hell Superior (VST), and the Bass is Spectrasonics Trilogy (VST). I use the guitar on the picture, my Gibson Les Paul Nashville Junior smile.gif

Everything was recorded in Cubase, and as for video equipment you'd have to ask Trond Vold as he was nice enough to let me use his gear smile.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
