I used to be addicted to that game, I just replaced that addiction with guitar which is a lot more rewarding.

I'm staying farrrrrr away from the new expansion, though I cannot say the same for my friends. hahaha

I knew it was going to be something WoW related.

I have to agree, and I know what I'm talking about because I used to play way too much that game. So glad I now do something worthwhile with my time, guitar, that is smile.gif And if I played guitar as much as I played WoW I'd be the new satriani already laugh.gif

WoW players, don't take offense, if you are the kind that can play wow for just a couple hours a day, good for you. Wasn't my case.

I used to play WoW quite heavily. I cut down as my life progressed, but I still play it now.

Back in 2006 when I was really into it, there used to be > 1 hour battleground queues, which meant during queues I would play the guitar. It made something of an equal combination of two enjoying activities.

Same in London.
This was on the news. HMV store opened at midnight 12th to sell the new expansion. The first guy in the queue stood there for 36 hrs when they opened the doors he collapsed cool.gif
I will get it someday but not now. Maybe January I need more time on the guitar wink.gif

I mean it isn't just games. Anything done for 24 hours straight isn't healthy for you. Playing guitar for 24 hours straight isn't good either. Why can't people mix activities to take the strain off the body.

This is why i don't play WoW and I play runescape (less addicting. I play it for an hour or two a day and thats only when i get membership which is rare). A good question would be how do you stay awake 24 hours doing the same thing over and over again and not get bored and log off? Is it that addicting?

The problem with WoW is that you aint doing the same thing over and over like in many hardcore training mmo's, you do many different quest and you go to a whole different zone like every level which makes it even more addicting tongue.gif But I dont play it that much I guess im only lv 72 now ( 80 is the max atm) tongue.gif

When I was younger I could play games for hours on end. Now though an hour is usually enough.

People who play WoW probably deserve to collapse anyway.

I just picked myself up a 24 and a bottle of scotch today .. ill have a drink for yea smile.gif\

Edit: On the topic of games tongue.gif.. i never got into WoW.. my friends wanted my to play it. I once upon a time had a serious addiction to Age of Empires I and Empire Earth(i was way too good at this game). Battle Field 2 was another one. Now i play a little diablo in anticipation of Diablo 3 and i play Civilization 4. But i can't play games all day.. ive gotta study and play guitar and workout and eat and hangout with friends and drink.. a healthy balance of everything is what is required.. i see way to many addicted gamers..

Is it just be who finds Civilisation games boring. I play games on Civ 4 and everytime I win and everytime I have no idea what I did, why I did it, why I won and how to win. If anybody can explain why it is a great game and why to play it I would be well happy as I haven't got a clue. I love Age Of Empires III smile.gif

This is seriously bad news. My friend and I picked up some vodka and other stuff the other day and have just been casually drinking white russians all day. I had one with lunch! Ah, civilised gentlemen.
