Remember I was driving to work that morning and heard the news that Dimebag had died the night before, I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I actually thought I was hearing wrong.

May he rest in peace, his legacy will live forever.

I wore the Dimebag Tribute shirt the whole day just like I did it last year and the year before...

We had a show the same night in UK and we cancelled our practice the next day as we were huge Pantera fans at the time. We play Hollow now a lot of the time and dedicate it to Dimebag. To think somebody gets shot on a stage entertaining people. Unfortunately that says a lot about this world. RIP Dime you are most definitely missed by many.

Posted by: Canis Dec 9 2008, 01:11 PM

RIP Dimebag... Terriible that someone should get shot while doing what he loved, especially when it's something so positive as entertaining other people...

Here's to a legend.

A great guitarist

He was the man... the Pantera home DVDs are so freaking awesome... You can really get an insight into who each member of Pantera was all about. It's so obvious Dime was the coolest dude on the planet. Phenomenal guitarist, nice guy - he cannot be replaced.

haha those guys from Nefilhem are pretty insane. Quite good guys when I met them at Wolves in the Throne Room concert. Never knew there this outspoken about mainstream Metal. I disagree with them saying MW is a horrible band, but what can you do, we don't like the same music.

R.I.P Darrel Dimebag, one of the greatest guitarplayers through all time! I miss him sad.gif

Posted by: Trond Vold Dec 12 2008, 11:15 PM

Aww sad.gif Seems like i'm a few days late... but still;

Dimebag was unique and amazing. A great source of inspiration for many of todays finest players. Everyday seemed like a party to him and judging from all the Pantera dvds/tapes i've watched, he seemed like the worlds nicest guy.

I remember this day like yesterday. I was playing cards with a friend, when my guitar pal came up and told me. Totally ruined my day.

Vulgar Display of Power was basically my theme music in high school.
