Hello everyone. I decided to join this website after seeing how incredible the instructors were and how nice and helpful the community seemed.
I have only been playing guitar for a year, but I have played the piano since I was 4, and the drums since I was 9, so I think I'm getting a pretty good grip on it. I also sing for my band, and was interested in doing something else, cause singing can be kind of awkward if you're not standing behind an instrument as some may tell you. I was actually inspired to start singing and playing guitar when I bought Rockband for Xbox 360. It's a funny story: I had finished the solo mode on expert for guitar and needed more of a challenge. I plugged in my headset and decided to do two player (guitar and singing) by myself. This went on for about three months until I saw how awesome an instrument the guitar was (watching videos on youtube of Malmsteen and Paul Gilbert), so I went down to the music store (on my street [Woot!]) and bought a cheap guitar and started playing. And here I am!

Looking forward to learning some kick-ass techniques!

Welcome! You are right, Rock band & Guitar hero are definitely increasing the number of people that start playing guitar, they are fun games for sure!, but nothing beats the real thing
