My WHITE IBBBY XIPHOS came in!! It's in the background of this vid. I"m recording with it and am going to do an intro vid just to share the info on the axe and use it in the next shred fest vid.

The Green BC Rich Gunslinger (My second one that I"ve bought) is in there as well. The BC rich is going up for sale as I just can't get used to the neck, again. I love the unfinished feel, just too round for me, like a D shape. Feels like a Jackson. But that makes sense as these were originally made in the 80's and they are sorta meant to feel like 80's charvel/jacksons. Which they do smile.gif It looks AMAZING in videos and in person, just can't seem to adjust to the neck. Such is life smile.gif They are not making these green ones anymore so hopefully that will help the price smile.gif

That is crazy, about a month ago I traded in my RG470XL, not keen on the 26.5" length and brought home a 2008 Red Chameleon.

I think it has become my new daily driver.

Congrats!! I really like the way these play smile.gif The neck through body gives it amazing sustain and the neck is very comfy smile.gif BTW I'm with you on the 26.5 necks. Just not for me. I've tried them and it seems they push your playing toward being more open string palm mute and less bendy/expressive just because of the extra string tension. To counter it, I've put .08 gauge strings on my one guitar that is extra long (my 8 string S7 cobra)

I actually bought it on a wing. I seen a used one at Guitar Center. I've always wanted to try it, when I heard of them they were making the XF series. I'm actually thinking of keeping an eye out for another one. I actually enjoy it way more than my S770pb. I love how my arm rests on top of it instead of against it, like the Dean ML style guitars did for me.

I'm just debating if I should toss in new pickups. I have a Titan (bridge), Evo 2 (Bridge), Gravity Storm/Breed (Neck) can't remember which it is exactly, or swap it with my S770 and pullout my BKP BlackHawks.

I"m with ya smile.gif Very comfy to play, much like my Dean pointy guitars. They look like they would not sit well, but they somehow do. Almost perfect playing position due to the angles of construction.

I did buy a second one of course smile.gif I have the red limited edition and a white one. Both with locking trems and dimarzio pups. Love em both smile.gif

What pups are in yours? If they are INF pups then I get it and yeah a swap is in order. If they are Dimarzio, then that's another story smile.gif

Here is a vid (the new X5 Shred fest challenge) where I"m using my new XPT750 Xiphos (the red limited edition one, and I"d swear the neck feels thinner than my XPT700 for some reason) You can see the white XPT700 xiphos behind me.

P.S. FZALFA: Did you get your new xiphos?

They are the Dimarzio's. INF pups are horrible I actually quit playing an Ibanez due to them, once they were changed I was more than pleased overall with the guitar.

I still may look into another XPT700 and swap the pickups on it, just to give myself variation between 2 of them.

Edit:
Looked it up and the XPT750 has D-Activator-X pickups in it, sounds really nice at that.

The neck may be thinner. My S770pb has the Wizard II on it and it's still a tad thinner then the XPT770 by feel.

Yup smile.gif D Activator X in xpt750 which is a fine choice imho. My other one has standard dimarzio D-activators in it. Which was stock 2009/2010.

All of the XPT700 series should come stock with Dimarzio D activators.
http://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/XPT700

Only one guitar, the XPT300 should have the inf pups stocks, as far as I was aware anyway. But I"ve been wrong before.

http://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/XP300

I played the 700 and 750 back to back again and the 700 neck just feels a pinch beefier. Just a pinch though. If you can find a 750, it's got decent pups in and the neck does feel a pinch better imho. But you gotta like red since it only comes in one color smile.gif

Todd
