GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Loose Saddle

Hi Guys ..

the in my les paul's bridge there is a loose saddle than creates a small buzz and and ruins my sound is there anyway to tighten it up or somthing like that ?? i already triend to lower the stopbar tailpiece to make more pressure (and i also triend raising the action for the same reason ) but the saddle is still loose what can i do ??

Hi Ruben
There are small wire retainers that pull on the saddle screw and keep it tight. You have to take the bridge off and look at the underside of it to see them. You probably have better eyesight than I do, and might be able to see the wire going over the the screw from the top.
Maybe one has grown weak or broken. They are replaceable. Good luck!
