I would have to say the Hetfield/Hammett team. Can I choose two? blink.gif I see them as one though, because its one sound. You can't have one without the other. Great rhythms and great leads, what more could you ask for? I never understood why Hammett's lead playing gets bashed. Is it because its not super technical? I think thats the reason why I like it, because its saying more with less.

It's not because Hammett is not technical, it's because he's not that accurate IMHO.

My favourite guitarist has gotta be the japanese Galneryus' leader Syu smile.gif

When he plays live he is a bit sloppy. But I think he makes up for it with great phrasing biggrin.gif Syu is great as well. He breaks the stereotype that Asians are only about pure precision.

Buckethead, I would have to choose him as my main influence, he seems to play everything. From noise to jazz, country to metal. I always wished I could be as open minded and creative as him.

Yes ofc smile.gif Hetfield and Hammet are going together cause u cant create that harmony they play just with 1 guitar biggrin.gif

Petrucci - you might be surprised but my influence here is from the riff's progressions

Marty Friedman - he influenced me alot in improvisation

Buckethead - on slow phrases and kind of ballads solos

these are my current main, can't wait for new ones q:

but the very first one to made buy a guitar was.. in fact no-1 then after buy it i was fascinated with dave murray and later start to hearing prog stuff fusions stuff and end up here
