Hey every one,
My band and I just played our first gig, and it went very well. We had three originals and one cover. The only problem was my cable died like 4 seconds in on one song, but i'm thankful it didn't keep it up. We were kind of out of place considering the other bands that played (mostly classic rock cover bands), but the crowd perceived us well and were entertained. So i was pretty proud. Just thought i'd let you know, and the advice helped a lot. In the end you just have to get up there and do it.

Congrats mate... Cable's are known to die from time to time smile.gif Like mine died on stage yesterday night. It's important to keep backup cables near you... Actually it's important to have the backup for every accessory: strings, straps, cables, batteries, picks, even guitars... Just make a habbit of putting them in a unnoticeable place near you, and when times comes they'll be perfect life savers.

Cheers mate. Good luck for your future endeavours wink.gif

Congrats mate. I don't think I've ever had a gig where something hasn't gone wrong. You just gotta deal with every eventuality. My pedal gave up on me last gig but luckily I have a back up of my favourite pedals for gigs smile.gif I fixed the pedal when I had time obviously.

Yes, Very good advice. And If your a tube amp user. Always have a extra pair of power tubes and a couple of preamp tubes as well.

Well Done!! The first gig is always a memorable one.

laugh.gif laugh.gif I agree, man. I am nervous about using any kind of tube amp without a backup. It's all worth it though. smile.gif

I agree with enforcer you must carry a backup for every piece of your set so you won't have any problems if something breaks.
