I'll let the article do the talking... but it made me physically uncomfortable going through it. In the same way that you would if you looked over the edge of a tall building. That weird feeling that you're just on the edge of something. It's hard to explain.. if anybody else gets that same weird feeling let me know !

Btw, I don't know why I put an extra 's' on universe. One is surely enough
WOW! just............ trippin balls
some awesome imagery there. The ' all the stars you see are in the yellow circle' one was nuts!
I've always been fascinated by space and the physics behind it.
Are we alone? The answer is amazing either way.
If we're not than that means there exists some sort if life elsewhere, and if we truly are alone than all that space you just read about is empty and we are all that is in it.
This might get under someone skin ,but who cares, you can't please all the people all the time, eh.
This is why I have a hard time with the big bang "Theory"
first ,To have the bang (that science believes in) you have to do away with "Laws of therm o-dynamics" (which science also believes in) .And before you go there I am not saying I don't believe in science ,I do and science is Awesome, but it is that they contradict each other and it seems they don't care.
According to the Law "you can't get something from nothing", so how in the world (no pun intended)did we get all this energy to power these massive generators for millions of years,I mean we are talking massive amounts here.Science says nothing started swirling and exploded into everything. now I might believe the big bang theory if it wasn't for that Law that states that that can"t happen. And please don't give me that Hawkins garbage about the Law of gravity forced the universe into existence. "Laws" don't create , they merely explain
Yeah, you only have to dip your toe into science and the universe to blow your mind with how much we don't know !
You guys outside of the UK probably won't have seen it but there was an interesting series with Professor Brian Cox and in one of the episodes he explores the possibility of other species, civilizations and the possibility of interaction with one.
I can't quite do it justice and I've forgotten a lot of it but the upshot was that due to the unfathomable age of the universe and the fact that human life occupies a blink of an eye in comparison.. the likelihood of entire civilizations existing at the same time is so minute as to make it highly improbable. Or something like that.
Found it on BBC iplayer. Not sure if you guys can watch it or not.. if you can, it's only available until Tuesday so get it in quick while it's there

check out "How The Earth Was Made", "Cosmos", and "The Universe"
again, check out "How The Earth Was Made", "Cosmos", and "The Universe"

watched it, they start it off by saying an unproven theory( although it be the best we have, pfff) does away with a proven scientific Law, and they are OK with that . and I can not be convinced to do away with a Law for a theory.
I am just an uneducated man , but as for when I build a house , that foundation is secure, would you want to live in it if i told you I built the house and then came back and tried to squeeze the foundation under the house
to me, the Law erases the theory
and don't even get me started on the lack off fossil records(according to Darwin's own admition)
It's crazy when you think about it...just go out at night and watch a star that is 2.000 lightyears away.
We actually see the light that was sent 2000 years ago..so we are seeing the light of a star when the roman empire was still ruling.
Because it takes 2000 years for the light to reach us ..so actually if you watch it you're watching back in time..
Are we alone??..we'll never know probably. BUT ...just imagine we ever get the visit of alien creatures ..and they all seem to live in peace and harmony on their planet ?????? While we are killing eachother on most continents ..imagine the shame you would feel...
