the setup praetorian is realy nice for blues! A friend of mine uses it! For sure a great choice, but it depends on what you are looking for. 2000 $ is a nice budget for sure. If you are looking for gear to record yourself, check out this thread: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=24874 We discussed a lot about different ways of recording and getting a nice and versatile sound. Anyway, you´ll make the right choice |

I've been saving for quite some time and have put away about 2000$ to spend on upgrading my setup. I have a 2008 fat strat HSS, and a behringer gmx 212.. besides for that I have a mediocre mic, and tuner/met. I have no pedals or ways of recording myself playing.. so I might drop a chunk on that.. any suggestions for the beginning bluesmans best bang per buck? What exactly do you need to do with your future setup mate? Do you wanna record yourself on the PC? Play live or in studio? Need a new guitar? Need some stomp effects/processor? -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Hmm.. well now I'm stuck. I've made the decision to invest in just an amp.. to try and get the most quality as possible.
I've been looking at a few but I don't know if I want a fender combo or some sort of other half stack/head. As of right now I'm leaning more towards the combo because if I have to tote it around it will be much easier for me to do by myself, and will take up less room in my small college apartment. The Fender Twin Amp 100-Watt All-Tube amp looks like one of the better deals at guitar center. Also because it was stated above I've been looking at fenders 65' reisssues like this bad boy which also seems to have good reviews. I plan on making a trip up to guitar center this weekend and testing out a bunch of gear. Decisions decisions.. -------------------- "The object of my work is to raise it above my standard"

Tough decision indeed if you ask me! Best is to try them out and do some AB tests. I'm sure one will pop out
