Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Killswitch Engage Style by Cosmin Lupu

Here's an another transposed (to Drop D) lesson. wink.gif

It's was so hard to be in time with drums and that fast triplet run caused lot of trouble.
But I think I survived happy.gif

P.S. Hey Ben next I will practise your Blues lesson. cool.gif

Overall it is a very good take and you did a great job learning this lesson!
The first fast part has some timing issues you are rushing especially towards the end of each phrase like 0:11
When you are getting to the second part you are rushing on a pam muting as well! It's not major but it really changing the feeling of this song and it doesn't sound as groovy as it should! It's 9 from me! I think if you will practice this lesson with a metronome you will get it to sound perfect!

Nice version Ville.. really strong playing. Just a little in front of the beat on the last fast riff but that's all I noticed smile.gif

Hey Ville! Nice surprise for me finding your take in the REC zone biggrin.gif

Well, indeed, the grooving is a bit somewhere else - you rushed - probably because you were afraid you will remain behind or something.

Try to practice slowly and nod your head to this biggrin.gif I practiced it like this with my drummer and got the groove flowing!

I say 9 as well, but you can do it for a 10!

Cosmin

Cool take, the only issue for me is your timing, specially in the fast parts. As always, the golden advice is to practice at slower tempos until you can really make it.
