> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Takamine C132S
M-Audio Soundcheck microphone

The sound recording is pretty unsatisfactory: the softer notes tend to disappear. I need a better mic for use with this guitar.

edit: Whoops, forgot one line in the poll content, so it silently disappeared last time. Someday I'll get this smile.gif

Nicely played.
Two things, I thnk it works better if you play it faster, it gives chgaracter to the piece, if you were a singer and try to sing that at that speed you will probably will run out of air.
Yau are a little late for the chord strum beacause your hand is still in a low position when the times comes. To avoid this use the moment of the last note plucking to place your hand in strumming position in anticipation.

Gerardo pointed out some very important tips so you can work on that. The tremolo part wasn't very precise. That technique requires a lot of practicing. I used to have problems with the same thing in classical music school but after 6 months I was able to play it. You need to have right size nails for that smile.gif I like your tone, very nice sound.

Nice take smile.gif

I agree with Gerardo and Emir, there is some room for technical improvement, but generally I like how it sounds. You got the whole picture, just need to brush up some details smile.gif

Great job! nice sounding guitar

yeah, probably speeding the piece up a little would take care of some of the problems. Practice the last part by itself,
