Hello,
I purchased a Yamaha accoustic guitar about a month ago and have pretty much spent all my time
playing tabs of songs I enjoy. I'm hoping to obtain a deeper understanding of playing the guitar as well
as acquire some skill playing it.
This appeared to be a quite active community so I signed up.

I enjoy all kinds of music, but my favorite bands are Tool, Muse and Radiohead.

I'm hoping this site has a much information as it appears to....

Thanks.

-Chris

Welcome to GMC, playing acoustic is a little different than electric, which I am guessing is what you want to play because of the bands you like.

However many learn on the acoustic, for the basics and stuff, if yours is a nylon string, take a look at the lessons by Gerardo Siere, Vinod, they are great.

I love Muse and Radiohead and this resource always has people available to help you out if you get stuck with anything. Best of luck with your guitar learning and don't be afraid to ask any questions however straightforward or difficult you think they are smile.gif
