Task 45: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Satch-Style-Slides/

Ok brave ones. It's quite a challenging one this week !! I hesitated about giving this to you but then I thought "What the heck ? These are Disciples of Guitar Bushido !! No Task is too great !" biggrin.gif

The basis of this Task is Satriani style sliding. There's some tricky fast blues bends in the middle too that might give you something to throw your pick across the room for !

I don't mind how far you get with this one.. even if you don't get the whole track, just upload what you can do. Sometimes we have to aim higher than we think we're capable of.. and then end up surprising ourselves with what we do manage to claw back from the abyss ! biggrin.gif

Deadline is next Friday 14th December
or you will find that you've recently started a subscription to Knitting Monthly.... ph34r.gif

Gee this is quite a tough one. Great challenge except the threat of knitting.
There is a few issues with the GP file and even some of the video's are slightly different but I've got it now.
Getting to full speed could be interesting. Actually I've havn't even nailed it a 60bpm yet!

The threat of a monthly knitting magazine is enough to make a man's fingers to do things he didn't think possible !! wink.gif

Knitting Avoided - Ya tongue.gif

Here's my attempt at a pretty hard one this week. You'll see I've altered that blues lick in the middle which I could only get to 80bpm.
Wouldn't say I'm super happy with this but with time restraints I not going to complain to much. I loved that run up the scale with a little lick at the end really nice and really just thought the whole lesson rocked. I'm glad to have a work out on the octaves, I usually play octaves on A and G strings so that was really good too.

Enjoying your album by the way. Your solo's are really awesome. wish you the best with this .

Congrats Z-Master ! A subscription to Knitting Monthly narrowly avoided cool.gif

Couldn't have imagined you tackling this kind of stuff just a while back. I know I keep repeating myself on this but it is really great to see (and hear)

Overall I would say that I would look at timing to tighten up, that's about it... very triumphant result I would say. Not only that but it nails you the Donut. Not just any Donut. Your 10th Donut. You know what that means don't you ???

Thanks Christophe! I found this really hard also. I ended up changing that fast lick also, to fast for me.
Those octaves where cool to play after the fast bend licks.
I was going to upload it at 80bpm But then I thought about changing the lick. This is what we'd have to do if playing a gig.

I changed it too (10-13p-10 |12b), sounded good, but I'm narrow-minded, I wanted to get it at full speed... x)
