why didnt i mention this
BRITNEY SPEARS!!!

anyone who disgraces the name of music in general by getting rich and famous lip synching to another persons voice is a low form of wasteless life.

I seriously loathe people who lip synch especially at live shows, and she couldnt even do it!!

THAT Pisses me off.

I was going to post the exact same thing but thought I would get lashed for mentioning her name. Well were on the topic, If I ever hear the words " Riding dirty , and I look and its not Weird Al I will def. take matters into my own hands. As well as " Ill be missing you " and sadly find out its P-Diddys shit version of the song and not The Police , I will then cry myself to sleep. smile.gif

I like old Greenday (Dookie) after that I just lost interest.
P.S. Did you notice how they kind of fell off the face of the Earth?

Great thread, it'll let me get some musical angst off my chest.
I know that rap isn't allowed, but I have to say that I can't stand the Jay-Z/Linkin Park "remixes" that get played at the gym where I work out. I swear, there hasn't been a time when I've been there that this inane, over-produced trash hasn't been playing. How can so many people like that crap?!
On top of that, since the gym lets members play their own CDs, one day I started playing the Outworld CD I brought in, and the girl who works there changed it to some emo rubbish. I guess she found the heavy guitars offensive or something.

Here's a display of compositional genius from Jay-Z/Linkin Park for your enjoyment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXnR8y89TvI

Oh, I also hate anything that was created just so the record companies can make a quick buck from people who listen to what they're told to listen to, because as we all know, 99.99999% of that stuff sucks.

Hopefully in the future, good music will crush all the major label garbage that we're beat over the head with today. wacko.gif

I think the worse songs are the ones that don't move me.

If a song makes me think "holy!! I can't stand this" then it is usually a strong song which I am not ready for - if I get give a little time, a whole new listening sensation appears. In other words the problem is on my end not the song's.

I find that staying open-minded is the absolute best way (if not the only way!) to constantly stay motivated, keep progressing, and developing an original style!

I don't like Dragonforce, awesome guitaring but the singer sounds like he should be with those two girls singing about a helicopter.

Yea plus they act all gay yet they deny it...

I got nothing against gays by the way.. I am gay myself, I just don't like people who are closeted yet act gay...

I like Herman Li but sometimes his shredding is a little repetitive, Joe Satriani could wipe the floor with him (and his hair) any day!

I don't like Linkin Park but jay z has done some good stuff IMO. Paul McCartney once played with jay-z and linkin park, he came out singing yesterday. It was a terrible mix, but seperately McCartney and Jay Z are both good IMO.

Same here dude, I'm not in to the Beetles myself. They revolutionized that type of musical style, but their music just doesn't click with me. I guess it's not heavy enough for me tongue.gif

Hmm suprisingly some of the things said here I actually like lol like Nickelback and Hey There Delilah and the typical rock songs like Hotel California(I really love the song).

Anyways, I really can't stand rap music where all they sing about is woman money drugs and crime, and also I can't bear hearing growls(sorry all growl fan!).
