GMC Forum _ Introduce Yourself ! _ Hello!

Posted by: xucphra Dec 22 2007, 03:44 AM

Hello all, my name is Alex, and I'm new to GMC.
I started playing guitar about a month ago, even though I have owned guitars for a few years now.
I own a Dean Vendetta 3.0 and a Schecter Hellraiser Avenger.
My main music influences are rock, metal and shred [Avenged Sevenfold, Protest the Hero, Trivium, BFMV, Eric Johnson, Iron Maiden, etc].
What I am aiming for in guitar playing is to be able to solo and play fast happy.gif.
Hoping to meet some nice people here!

Yeah, Schecters are really good quality guitars. I actually own a C1 FR, but it's in the repairshop for a couple weeks atm. I actually love Schecters; the only turnoff is that they can get pretty pricey laugh.gif

On another note, I was wondering where you would suggest I start out, in terms of guitar playing?

Welcome. http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/video-lessons/oneonone-lessons_0.html are really good for starting out. Also there's the http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/beginner-guitar/beginner-video-lessons1.htm course, you should check that out.

Pavel also has a Heavy Metal riffing for beginners series. Check the http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-guitar/heavy-metal-for-beginners/ out.

enjoy wink.gif
