Hi!

Well, I haven't been very active the last 6 months or something, my guitarplaying's been in a kind of sleeping state lately...

Anyway, my favorite parts always been the Competition section, but I see nothing much happening there lately? How come? Also there seem to be a slowdown in the Collaboration area...
I hope it's a temporary setback?

GMC in general has slowed down quite a bit and gone relatively inactive. Interesting to see how things turns out

We recently had a huge Instructor-student collaboration - check out the video on the front page. Currently there is an active Kristofer led collab for composing the original song!

You should take part if you can.

Regarding competitions - I'm sure the next one is just around the corner!

I had the same feeling about half a year ago during the soccer world cup, then things got better again with literally one new collab per week, now it is slowing down again (maybe because people are having christmas on their minds), so it's an up and down. I'm sure it'll get better in january at the latest.

This is a very valid point, the Holidays are heating up and and with them come family time constraints and of course Holiday gigs. Many musicians work quite a bit over the Holidays. Granted, it's usually playing xmas music, but as they say "A Gig is a Gig".

I'm not sure it's about the holidays coming up? If you look at the Competition section, the last Competition was held in May, and that wasn't even about playing guitar, it was the Improve GMC competition. There was one in March though, I think...
But OK, Competitions are maybe not so popular...? So if there is little interest for them I can understand why they're being discontinued...

Lots of things are happening on the forum and there are lots of new lessons. There are always collabs open as well, just try to take part at some of these activities and you will see that you will get back into tracks in not time!
