Hi, my name is Bryant Bourgoin. I am a returning member of guitarmasterclass. I have been playing guitar a total of 6 years, spread out over 40 years. Two years beginning around 1970, took a break (someone stole my guitar in college). Started up again in 1990 for about two more years, and formed a band for about a year. Stopped playing again as I returned heavily into long distance running (marathon and ultra-marathons). Started up again in 2005 for two more years, then came to a halt about two years later (became full time DJ and Karaoke host). I am starting up again as a friend of mine has asked me to help teach him how to play.

I consider myself an above average rhythm guitar player, but really need work on getting more melodic with lead playing. Am here to practice daily to improve my sense of timing, ear training (which is very weak as I simply cannot play what I hear), and learn how to play lead at somewhat above the intermediate level at jam sessions and perhaps to start another band. I consider myself slightly above intermediate in understanding and being able to apply Music Theory.

I own a Fender Stratocaster and a nice Guild that I have had since the early 1990's, and a Vox emulator type amplifier for band playing, and a few smaller practice amps for jam sessions.

I really miss the quality and regularity, and structure of the lessons and videos on here.

Hi man! Welcome to the site! We are here ready to help you so feel free to share your samples here to let us give you feedback. Regarding ear training, you should check Luciana's singing lessons. Most of them will help you to connect your mind with your guitar thanks to your voice.
