Been waiting more than 10 years for this - it was announced 10 years ago that they were working on new material, but now it's here. Here's a song from the album:

So far I'm liking what I'm hearing.

Here's another song:

Thats pretty darn cool. As we have been talking about, I hope you can join a gigging band or even a signed band as a singer. Being a singer is like being covered in gold. It's rare, it's wonderful, and people want you. You have a great voice. If you could find a band that is already on a good touring footing, you could just step in. You are good enough to skip the first few levels as it were IMHO.

I love the twin guitar solos on this album, as they call them. Harmonized solos smile.gif

I've always been a huge fan of well constructed "harmonzed" solos. Maybe we can do one on our impending collab? Sorta call and response then meet in the middle for the harmony part?

Here's another song from the album:

I love the guitar work smile.gif 4:08 for the harmonized solo. There's one on almost each track.

Yes! The one with very spiff Eighties Vibe on the rythm riffs. I remember you mentioned you wanted to re do y our solo bits?? Maybe we could come up with a harmonized bit to serve as a sort of instrumental chorus that we can return to?

Speaking of PSychotic Waltz, here is another spiff tune from them The solo reminds me of, well, me! smile.gif

The album has landed on 9th place in the German charts - for all albums, not just some hard rock or indie chart, but the actual charts. One place below Billie Eilish, and above the new records from Huey Lewis and Kverlertak. Really excited reading this, as they're one of my favorite bands smile.gif

That's AMAZING. God bless the Germans for just loving good music. Then again, the same people think the HOFF is a Rock Star, which I also think is amazing smile.gif It's a great album from the sound of it and it's great that it's charting so high! The charts here could use a few tracks with a growl or two smile.gif

I think these charts are based on sales or turnover. This is from a facebook post:

"The German charts are based purely on total turnover, so often there are a slew of different formats being sold, but this record had no shirt bundles in Germany, no expensive box set or ultra-limited deluxe mailorder edition, no influencer campaign. Not even an outside producer or songwriter. Just five guys who have been playing together since high school writing and recording their own music."

I would guess this means someone like Hoff with a very established name can have a good turnover purely based on his name. Maybe I'm wrong smile.gif

BEN: If it's based on total turn over in Germany they are counting all units of any kind sold in the country from the sound of it. So it's not just CD/Vinyl sales tracking that we get here in the states from SOUNDSCAN. Here, the billboard 200 and hot 100 include streaming and downloads. So if the HOFF releases an album and wads of people get the mp3 it will chart really well in Germany which is why Hoff has a room full of Gold and Platinum records in Germany. He has about 40 gold and platinum records in Germany alone. He's is also big in Austria and Switzerland. For Hoff,it goes back to the fall of the Berlin wall where he sang "looking for freedom" as the wall was being torn down. It became a huge cultural moment in Germany and he is still huge there 30 years later. It's truly impressive that a band Psychotic Waltz can top the charts without doing all the other version releases, and tricks, it's just the band as you said. smile.gif
