Didrika - Winding Roads Solo, Marcus lavendell's Winding Roads solo |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi there!
I thought that i would give the REC a take! This is my take on Marcus Lavendell's Winding Roads solo. It's quite an old take but I decided to give it a chance In this video I think i used my Boss gt-10 through my Ibanez amp and a Music Man Jp6 guitar. I don't know how I can get the whole video shown here, so it would be great if someone told me how https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YM8bQ-6yenU The original lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...rcus-lavendell/ This post has been edited by skennington: Jan 6 2011, 08:20 PM |

it's a good take, good technique. I feel like you are putting different parts together and cannot see the unity of it all. Focus on the transitions between parts so they sound more unified.

Very good technique. Just try to have even more flow through the solo.

Your playing shows a great potential. I can add a suggestion to the previous ones: try to use a DAW for your takes. It's not good to hear the acoustic sound of your guitar over the backing and the distortion
