The three albums are very good and very different between them. I started to like Blind Guardian with Imaginations, that is a bit more "progressive" for me ("Bright Eyes" is one of my favourite BG's songs) , and then I checked Somewhere that sounds more power. Now I can say that my favourite BG album is "Nightfall in Middle-Earth" because of the amazing production ansd compositions.

Nightfall in Middle-Earth is the best! not only from BG, this is the best album in the story of power/speed metal ever!

You really cant go wrong with any of them. Imaginations and Nightfall are my favorites. Night At The Opera is in third.

Well I would go for Imaginations for the first album, but to tell the truth, the only good choice is - all of them;)

You are asking me? Ok, buy all of them
 But seriously, I don't really know what to say, obviously I love all three albums ;-) Go to your local record store and check them out yourself, like that you can get an idea about the albums. Or, if you are not familiar with BG at all, you could also check out "Live" or our "Imaginations through the looking Glass" DVD, like that you get a bit of everything. If I would have to get one of your 3 candidates I would get somewhere far beyond, but ask me the same question tomorrow and you might get a different answer, it all depends on my mood
