Hey Mate!

I got a couple of gear questions today.
Do you clean and oil your rosewood/ebony fretboard? If so how often?

And I am thinking about selling my Orange Micro Terror since I always practice with my DigiTech Gnx2 anyways and I can't record with my Orange either. You think that is a good idea or should I save it in case I will need it in the future?

Hi Alex!

About the fretboard, I clean it every time I change strings in order to keep it clean. Sometimes I use any product special for wood, but most of the times I just clean it with a dry cloth.

About the amp, If you don't use it and you think that you can invest that money in something that you will use more, go for it. What are you using for recording audio?

Hi Gab! smile.gif

Okay, thank you. I will start cleaning my fretboard everytime I change strings. Perhaps use a special product for wood now since I have really never cleaned my fretboard on my Jackson.

Yes, I don't use it much at all. I am currently using my DigiTech Gnx2 which is a multi-fx with a audio interface built-in. So I just have a cable from my DigiTech Gnx2 direct to my computer.

Well, that's enough by now. Maybe you can plan to sell your amp first, then the digitech an use the money for a more advanced multiFX like the new Line 6 one, or anything else.

Yes that sound excellent. I have also been looking at the Eleven Rack which seems very good also but it is expensive biggrin.gif

Hi Gab, I am only able to play the Satriani Lesson at around 120 bpm. But as you say, it is more important to play it good than fast. I will share a video tomorrow smile.gif

Hey Gab Here is my Videos!
It was a fun lesson to play and I enjoyed to play over the backing track a lot. However I am not 100% happy with my results, I think I should have done better in the videos.

Hi Alex, the main issue on your take for the lesson is timing. You are not playing the licks tight with the backing. I would like to extend the deadline but this time, to work on a smaller blocks.

So the new task is:

- Work on the first 15 seconds of the lesson and focus on playing each lick tight over the backing. Start playing it along with the guitar pro tab or lesson.

Deadline: October 10th

Hey Gab!
The band in the church offered me to join them and start playing with them on a weekly basis. It will be only rhythm with some basic chords but I believe it still would be a good practice for me. smile.gif

Also I found this very talented guitarist on YouTube

Hey Gab smile.gif
Thank you, I hope that will help me improve.
On a side note, I realized we have worked together for over two years now, time has passed by so fast. But it has been an incredible journey and I have improved a lot so I do not regret this at all. Thank you once again for being my mentor.

Also I would like your feedback about what new amp/multi fx I should buy? There is a relative cheap used Eleven Rack in sweden that is for sale right now, should I go for that one or is there any other amp/multi fx I should check out? Like 6505mh or something

Here is my Satriani Take, I recorded this several times to pick the best one.

Hi Alex, the lesson is on the right track, just be careful with timing.

About the gear, I think that it's a good move but I recommend you to send a PM to Todd Simpson who has an Eleven Track so he will be able to help you much more than me about it. By the way, from his comments, the unit is really good.

Hey Gab smile.gif
What is next in the practice routine, should I continue practice this for a while or do we move on to next assignment?

Thank you for the feedback, I will PM Todd.
