Try wiping them down after playing. If that doesn’t work try Elixer strings. Their a little pricey, but they have a nanoweb coating that makes them last 4 to 5 times as long as regular string, and their Anti-rust.

To be honest, you should really wipe down your strings after every time you play guitar. I know it seems annoying, but it really works. I normally don't however (lazy), I just make sure I clean them at the end of the day if I've been playing at earlier in the day.

Giving the bridge a wipe if you rest your hand on it is a good idea too otherwise it starts to tarnish, kinda.

you know on my G&L i have had the same strings on for 6 months! its played everyday. I bend alot etc yet the strings show no signs of ware or rust. bloody amazing if you ask me! they are 10 gauge ameriacan strings called Sitt.
Yet on my accoustic i need a new set every 4-6 weeks.

:smoke
