I'll get send some decent coffee when I next go to Itlay
Thanks for the comments David - especially the EQing - definately can see what you mean and really helpful to know for the future. Thanks for the encouragement
david you are right about my tone
the reason for it sounding so harsh is because i didnt have a mic pre amp at the time, and to compensate for that i had to use a compression to boost the volume which added edge
i assure you that its all been fixed now, and that ill be sending you to tonal heaven next collab,
thanks for the comments, i look forward to working with your collabs more often!
Thanks for the video comment, it really helps, and I appreciate you taking the time to do this
I definitely see what you're saying about the second part of my solo, after listening to it a few more times I see where you're coming from. I will work on all the things you mentioned very thoroughly. I actually have a solo to record for Pedja's collab which is coming up soon, so I will try to implement your tips into my playing for that
Thanks again man. i found your comments very helpful
Many thanks David for taken the time and efforts to write all those comments, which is great!
All your points are valid, and I am going to focus more and more on the rhythmic placement in future takes. It really felt good that this was the first take out of several collabs, which mentions that my left hand vibrato was good, as I focussed on that for the last couple of months
I should have rerecorded the take really, to get rid of the sloppyness at a couple of places, but was too busy with other things unfortunately
Anyways, looking forward to your new collab!
Cheers
Roger
Hiya David
Thanks for the comments and your hard work in this collab.
I will work on better preparation for my takes in future After all the hard bit is the beginning usually! Just need to take it right through the solo.
Thanks again for another gr8 collab. Looking forward to the next one.
Cheers
...
That was hilarious:D That first video, I was like, DAVID WHAT THE?!?! I almost fell of the chair!
Hey David!
Thanks for the comments mate (Cool vid quality as well mate btw!) I did play a little safe with this one as i just wanted to make sure i got the timing right and hit the notes on the beats so to speak. I will try the singing thing too, sounds interesting!!
Thanks again.
Thanks for the comments David! I must add that it's not just me ideas but it's also your great backing that makes me develop those ideas... So sometimes a great backing just speaks for itself, I merely try to interpret its whispering Thank you, I'll work on my problem points, and I look forward to your next collaboration for sure!
Great job mate!
You guys really rock, it's a pleasure to listen to your work. I am learning a lot from them too! :-)
Thanks a lot for this helpful comment! I´m so pleased to hear so much good things. I mostly compose my takes, but I leave one or two bars for improvisation and that´s why some things aren´t really convenient. Next time, I´ll try to make it better!
Well deserved!
When you said "Well linked" I felt good cause I felt I had corrected the flaws you told me in my last collab ^^
Next stop, recording it with legato already tried it...sounds alot better
Thanks David
Awesome comments David, thanks a lot for taking the time!
I'm practicing everyday with backing tracks to improve the rhythm placement.
Awesome takes from everyone.
I'm very happy to hear all your reactions my friends. Glad this helped!
Congrats Guys! congrats all!
