This 19 year old Shep being cradled in his father's arms last night in Lake Superior. Shep falls asleep every night when he is carried into the lake. The buoyancy of the water soothes his arthritic bones. Lake Superior is very warm right now, so the temp of the water is perfect.

Hes had the dog since he was 8 months old. Thats a tear jerker moment right there.

Oh man... smile.gif This is so nice! By the way, do any of you guys know anything about some weird dog infections, that they can have between their toes? Like some swelling of some sort? My little dog has these things and I want to take her to the pet hospital to see what's what, but I was curious to ask if any of you have had this sort of experience before..

Ingrown toenail that got infected? Happened to my friend dog once, they had to cut the nail out, pretty simple procedure for the dog.

Hmmmm, dunno man - it's more like between the toes, doesn't have anything to do with the nail I think...I hope it's not cancer or stuff like that... It keeps appearing during spring and summer and in winter and autumn, it's not appearing anymore.

Sounds like maybe some fungal infection or something. I don't know anything about those things, but I usually hear that term a lot relating to toes etc..

My whole family is leaving for the mountain house tomorrow and I will be along with the dogs till next week and I was thinking i could get the little one to the clinic to be examined by a doc. I don't know if the term is correct but biopsy would mean collecting tissue sample from the weird looking area so that the docs can tell me what's actually happening to her...
