GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Buying New Guitar

Posted by: rickzore Jun 14 2009, 02:53 PM

Hi rockers,

I'm thinking of buying a new guitar.
But the question is.. which one? ohmy.gif
I like to play Metallica, Linkin park, solo stuff and other rock/metal stuff.
But sometimes I want to play a nice clean piece of music.
My amp is Vox VT30

My buget is between 500 - 1000 euro

If anyone has a good suggestion.. pls post

Thx mates

there are thousands of guitars for what you are looking for... My favorite guitar I've played is probably the gibson lp studio or epiphone lp prophecy. Theres also the epiphone lp ultra II. Why all les pauls? Well, in that price range is when they start getting better in quality, with figured tops and set necks and such. Something to consider is whether you what kind of bridge you want (hardtail, floyd rose, vintage tremolo, etc...) Then people (who have a lot more experience than me with buying guitars) can tell you what to get!

Where are you from mate? This will help me determine the online shop to look at and the pricing. Prices vary a lot from country to country.

I've a Ibanez GSA60 from a jumpstarters kit...
It just doesn't make a nice warm sound.
The guitar feels good, but the sound is just not were I'm looking for.

any suggestions? smile.gif

I would get PRS for that price range. Its versatile guitar and you can use it for all styles. Plays great, awesome sound, I only have words of praise for it smile.gif
