Awesome to see REC take from you mate. And we don't roast here, plus this is a nice take!

The most problematic section is probably the first seconds. Here the clean sound and soft backing reveals mistakes + probably a bit of stage fright (which we see in almost every take here). To clarify - I think you are playing too fast / before-the-beat. This is a very common problem - which results in playing not sounding musical, though it can be hard explain exactly why.

When the backing kicks in loudly - I get the impression you are 'rocking away' and this conveys much more feeling. This part is more enjoyable.

I still hear missed notes in the faster parts though. The best remedy is probably to play much below what you consider to be your comfort speed - to make sure you are 100% relaxed in your whole body and not missing any notes at all.

I will give you a 5 - and I think you could quite easily bump this one up to a passing grade.

Hi mate!

I like the energy of your take. Both the clean and the distorted tones fit perfect with the backing track, and your performance has a good use of dynamics, mostly in the powerful section.

When listening to your take, the only relevant issues that I note are what Kris commented about hands sync and missed notes. This problem is more notorious in the clean intro part, but it appears in the second half too.

The best way to fix this is to practice at slower tempos, and isolateing the trickier parts to discover what's the picking mechanic that is generating the issue. Start at a comfortable tempo and increase it gradually trying to always keep both hand on sync, and all notes sounding clean and clear.

Hey there!

First of all this is a really tricky lesson and you managed to make things work quite nice. It's clearly visible that you have a really nice control over alternate picking, good hand sync and good control over unwanted strings.

It's the sweep were things start to loose the quality of performance. The real trick is to be able to play sweeps at medium tempo, such a s things. It's way more difficult than fast sweep runs, where sweep becomes almost an ornament rather than a block of separated notes.

In your case sweeps skills are not qual to your alternate picking skills. You tend to loose some notes or loose the sync. I guess It's probably even less strength you should use to push the pick. Let the string resist a little more so the timing match will come out naturally.
