I am a 100% sure that you will like these bands(judging from the bands you listed):

Saxon
Uriah Heep(old)
Witchcraft
The Stranglers
Pentagram(US)
Nazareth(old)

Johnny Winter also got some awesome Rock'n'roll albums.

If you like growling you should check out Darkthrone's two latest albums: The Cult is Alive and F**k Off and Die. Its black punkrock biggrin.gif

I'll update if I can think of more.

Considering the list he gave, sort of like offering a carrot to a cat.

Jane's addiction is a good suggestion.

edit: by that statement, I mean no disrespect to carrots.

Pentagram

kinda made me laugh but which "Pentagram" are you talking about? Theres one in Sweden, US, Chile, Mexico. laugh.gif

But as for recomendation, Im not gonna recomend you bands along the line of your initial list... im recomending great bands and inovators of certain genre. Mainly in the metal scene. Mostly old.

Boris- Hmm, I always recomend them to people. There like psychadelic, stoner, drone. Ehh hard to explain but the music is too good if you can appreciate it.

D.R.I.- Thrash Crossover band. Great band to get into if you want to explore more on thrash metal. They were considered influences of the big 4 mainly Slayer.

Heathen- The bands a legend in bay area because of how heavy yet melodic there thrash is. Great part about the band is that there whole 2 disco Breaking The Silence and Victims of Deception is free of download in there website. http://www.heathenmetal.com/index2.html

Maudlin Of The Well- One of the most fresh and innovative band I have ever heard in my life. They play progressive astral metal. They have a wide range of different genres like jazz, pop, doom/death metal and its really amazing hearing all those combinations together. They also use more than 10 different instruments when there initially making an album.

Primus- Ehh weird, funny music. There fun to listen to, there songs are real catchy and all the instruments seem to work together. Claypool's voice is hard to get into if your not into that kinda stuff but both bass and guitar work area really well done.

Rush- prog rock band that innovates music in the 70's w/ there long song passages and articulate song structures.

Sepultura- Want some thrash metal in your life? Get there album Beneath The Remains and Arise. Its just riff driven album that will keep you headbanging. Stay away from any album after Chaos A.D.

ehh thats all I could think of that you might like. Enjoy anyway.

I was talking about the band from the 70's, very similar to Black Sabbath.
They are from USA.
