Hi Guys and Gals,

following the brilliant success of the last metal collab I started (and Smells kindly finished! smile.gif smile.gif ) I've decided to give it another shot (now I finally have Reaper! biggrin.gif ).

Its gonna have a few more parts this time, but I won't reveal all till its completed!

Ok so I'm gonna give you a choice of what part of the backing track to play over and I would like to keep this reasonably small so say 4 solos for each part.

That means 8 places available in total on a first come first served basis (sorry to anyone in advance who misses out).

Attached File  Metal_Collab_number_2.mp3 ( 649.04K ) Number of downloads: 287

Attached File  metal_collab_number_2_chorus.mp3 ( 649.04K ) Number of downloads: 287

So I need to know who you are and which part you wanna jam over.

The backing track is in the key of C and pretty much anything goes really chromatics, harmonic minor, minor pentatonics you name it!. cool.gif

Enjoy

Alex

Smells- Chorus
Iluha- Verse
At lights end- Verse
Tuo- Verse
Muris- Chorus
JVM- Chorus
Steve- Verse
Me- Chorus
excorcyze- Chorus
muntahunta- Verse

Nah its all thru my toneport using my ESP mh-1000 guitar set to the EMG 81 at the bridge I track everything three times pan one right one left then one dead centre to get a big phat sound. (Metallica used to do it alot in the 80's)

Here is the rhythm setting I use for those of you with line 6 gear

Attached File  Land_of_Cain.l6t ( 2.19K ) Number of downloads: 99

(Land of cain was another old project so ignore the title)

Although the TSL does sound awesome its hard for me to use it at a recordable volume at home (you need to have it at least at 3).

if you wanna be in mate thats fine with me just let me know which part you wanna play over!

Seriously everyone is welcome biggrin.gif

The only way you can get better is to have people point out where you can improve so these collabs are a really good way to do that.

Also if your not comfortable playing fast then don't try to until you are, just concentrate on getting emotion out of the notes you play first.

Another good thing to do would be to video yourself playing one of the GMC lessons and put it on uploads then the instructors can tell you where your going wrong, trust me its better than getting in to bad habits.

Thats my words of wisdom for the day cool.gif
