> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

OK, I've tried to polish it a bit. I've had better takes than this for Gab but when I know it's going to the judges I get scared  I need to learn better mixing technique too.

Hi Phil, glad to see the onward progress shows no signs of abating!

You're much stronger with timing now but my only criticism is you nearly got caught with your pants down at 0:24 - you were just a little bit late to the party there! wink.gif

That's all, my man - well done biggrin.gif

Bending is superb btw, couldn't be any better.

Hi Phil! Did I say that I'm really proud of your hard work?

We are working on this lesson at Phil's mentoring thread so there is my comment about this and the previous audio take. I'll grade your take here.

Keep on rocking!!

Hey Phill!

First of all we need your guitar to be much loud in the mix - louder than you would usually set it up for typical recording. We need to capture as many details as possible - including all unwanted noises etc.

There are still some timming issues but less than previously and mostly in the second half of this take.

Agree with Ben - bends are quite cool now smile.gif
