I tried booting my pc up yesterday and rather than taking 7 secs to boot it took over 10 mins, and all was not right.
After a lot of tinkering and troubleshooting, running virus scans etc, I discovered one of my harddrives has failed (note I only built this pc in January so all components are pretty new) this drive is mainly used for my plugins and samples and midi loops, but it's also where I download stuff to and test things out before deciding if I want to load it as a permanent thing on my SSD O/S drive. So luckily most stuff is easily replaceable though I'm sure I'll forget some things I had on there. No I haven't backed up my system, though the plugins (minus the freebies) have their installables on a seperate drive. I'll be getting a replacement drive and another drive to back up my entire system to. Lesson learnt -------------------- My SoundCloud
