GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Chord Emotions Forum Game

i sat down with my RL instructor asked him for some tips about composing and he said that truely good songs that people connect to should convey a feeling, and told me to find a chord progression that conveys what im feeling right now,
so i thogh of a game that will be good practice for us all where we guess or something what emotion everyone tried to convey
hopefuly people will particapate and it will catch speed,
anyways what i came up with was
C C Am Am F F G G
and i slowly arpegiated each of them back and forth on thier lowest 4 strings.
ps. if descriptions arnet enough we can upload takes

I like this idea a lot 
Your progression sounds very hopeful or easygoing to me. Like you were to sing a song around a campfire and tell a story or something.

This progression is one of the simplest but most effectives. Actually, you can play some rock, jazz, etc. with this chords. Larry Carlton uses this progression in "Sleepwalk", however, he changes the F to an Fm (not C Major scale, but C minor scale now) - this is used a lot, you called it the minorized IV degree of the C Major scale.
I´m looking forward to the ideas you´ll come up with!

kinda sad
and also complicated judging by the sheer number of chords in that progression
p.s i was going for sad but hopefull so sounds like it coveys it moderetly well

Would say relaxed, balanced, quite, and harmonic,
especially due to the V I cadence

to me it seems joyfullWell, 4ths. I was going round the other way. Regardless, you spotted that I was trying to say;
that my life's going round in circles (be they 4ths or 5ths)
However, it would probably be more accurate to represent my life/feelings at the moment through the genre of drone music so, let's see, how about this "progression":

A combination that I dare say has been seldom used I should imagine, and will probably remain so.

It's not his song. It's an old tune from the 50/60's, I think I played it even before Larry..
(and how old would I be then.. 
) Kind of mood... hmmm. I guess that have to be old, nostalgic, since it's really a 50/60's pop-progression to me.//Staffay
EDIT: This is the mood I'm going to be in today: Dropped D-tuning with a D-note pumping with occasionally placed triads on top in a non-sense manner.... (to be continued...)
