Good morning guys!

Well, since I started gathering the materials for the Smooth Collab, I thought that in the mean time, I should give you guys another little track to play with.

Let's all join forces on this one!

It is based on two progressions:

-> Aadd9 Badd11 G#m Aadd9
-> Emaj Badd11 C#madd11 Aadd9 Badd11

You guys can play A Lydian flavored phrases (emphasizing on the D#) over the first one and some E Ionian (E major) ones over the other and try to make it as laid back as you can - long notes, vibrato, themes and nice melodies so that it can have a good flow!

As usual, please send me your takes in .wav format (1 track with the backing track and the other having the guitar only) at [email protected] - the last entry date being December 1st!

I'm still messing with my take. Didn't like anything so far, i am trying someting new I will upload it in 1-2 days. Is that ok for you C-Maestro?

Hey guys! Coming back with the comments on this one:

@smolentsev - Mate, I dig your note choices and I think you have a pretty good melodic direction! I would suggest letting the notes breathe/ ring more and vibrate them so they may come to life! watch out for that bend at 1:03 it could've been epic so let notes breathe more. You had a few super nice melodic interventions such as the one at 1:47! I loved that one very much!

@quadrium - Dogukan! The fact that you chose a tone without distortion was very nice! Being different is always good and I liked the ascending phrase at 0:34!

@K1R - A very important thing would be to try and round all your notes up a bit, when playing in a context such as this one, be smoother and melodies will sound much closer to the heart of the listener Otherwise, I have noticed the fact that you were building around a theme which is very good! A little bit more sense of direction and you'll be on to the awesome stuff

I think this is a general observation for all three of you guys - try and space things out a little bit more carefully and create direction for your melodies!

Congrats for your takes gentlemen! I AM WAITING on your stuff for the next collab
