Hi David,

Your lessons always sound so great. In particular I am wondering what you used for the bass on your "good finger placement" lesson. I'm trying to find good bass software or loops or something to use for my own recordings. I know there are a lot of them out there and I'm trying to narrow it down.

I hear that Trilogy is good and I see that you mentioned you use Scarbee bass. How does Scarbee work? Is it just samples where you need to play the individual notes on keyboard or does it play patterns for you based on the key of the song that you choose?

My problem is that I'm not very good on keyboards and I would like to have a good sounding bass software that will allow me to pick pre-programmed patterns or samples that I can customize. Do you know if Trilogy can do this too?

thanks! smile.gif

First of all thanks for the kind words!
Makes my day to know you appreciate my work!
Scarbee is a sample that you load in the Kontakt sampler. It doesn't have any premade bass tracks, it's just a softsynth that plays the bass parts you write or record from your midi device.
I think Trilogy works the same way, but not sure.
I believe Muris uses Trilogy, you should ask him!

Another idea would be to use bass loops. I've used some before. You can find some great sounding ones royalty free online, just do a Google search and you should get plenty of results!

I hope this helps a bit!
