Hello folks,
I'm learning THIS lesson with Gab, I'm struggling to see what he's doing with his fingers for the fourth bar (See section 2 in the video) Is there any software out there where I can download the video and play it really slow. I can't work out a good way to shuffle my fingers for this and even when Gab plays it slowly I can't quite catch it. I've tried pause repeatedly but without success. Thanks Laurent, that worked a treat
It would be ultra good if the speed had a slider bar in the main area but it is a great help. Thanks buddy This post has been edited by Phil66: Nov 10 2016, 09:53 PM -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. Another alternative is Transcribe. https://www.seventhstring.com
I use it all the time for playing along with backing tracks. It can slow down (almost without affecting pitch), loop, change pitch (for example to practice tuned down stuff in standard tuning) and even figure out which notes are being played at particular point in time. Highly recommended. It's not free though |

Ahh thanks Wyverex, Transcribe isn't really what I need, I need the video to be slowed down because I need to see how Gab is playing the fourth bar of that piece, I can't get an economical solution for my fingers and I'm struggling.
VLC is ok, it's a bit clunky to use and if you leave it for a few seconds it goes back to full speed again. Thanks anyway -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. Thanks for your help Ben,
I was trying to watch it slowly to see the transition between the 2nd fret A string and 2nd fret E string. It's hard to do by pausing it I've been trying to roll my index finger from the A string to the E string but when I do that it dampens the open strings that need playing. I've just been watching it at 1/8th speed in Movie Maker and that G chord image is part of what's been confusing me. I've had it before in TABs, throwing my fingers around the neck trying to finger three different chords only to "discover" that it's been one barre chord played differently three times, ie; strumming different strings, I've kicked myself when the penny has dropped Thanks for your recent comments in REC by the way, I did send a PM Cheers -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight.
