Should you be worried about what music your kids are listening to?

Is it a concern your 11 year old boy loves to play Heavy Metal?

Answer: YES!
Chances are you have a very gifted kid with high IQ but a slightly lower social level. Studies have shown most people listen to music which relates to their character trails. It was proven classical music helps develop more active brains at very young ages even in babies and those that enjoy it are generally smarter. Well it has now been shown this generation it is Heavy Metal, which still has the roots of classical music just at a heavier, faster pace.

Most will follow the lead guitar rather than the lyrics, so even bad lyrics and violents may not affect them.

Most metal fans are actually gentle nature and at ease with themselves, the downside is they might slack off a bit when they can get away with it and not work at full potential.

So does other music also show/develop trails? Yes, most POP music is targeted at younger generations working with those that focus at a sexual/desire/want level. This is know to increase sales but with heavy risks. This should be more worrying than rock/metal!

Boost in self-esteem if you like jazz or classical. Drop in it if your more into heavy rock music.

Rap and hip-hop focus almost 100% on lyrics and therefore are outgoing more socialible but can get into the wrong crowds easily.

If you are into a range of music, you are more likely open minded to learning new ideas. If narrow and fussy with music, you are more set in your ways and a perfectionist or strong in that character trait(s).

Im heavy metal/rock, but enjoy a range.

Find out your personality with different music genres. What do you like / dislike - music genres?

I think music does go hand in hand with personality traits. But as everything, it can be evolved passed,

People who enjoy dancy music tend to be more out going and extroverted than say people who are into metal. But as a person grows they can decide how to shape their personality regardless of the music style they listen to.
