So is it good that a band continues performing their classic catalog with new and "guest" vocalists, or should it just be over and done with? Honestly, I don't know how to answer this one...

Guess it depends on much of a purist one is as a fan. For example, Carcass in tour again (Yay!) but Michael Amott is not in the touring version. Still, it's great they are playing shows and finally getting the appreciate they have deserved for 20+ years. But some of the Carcass faithful decried the lack of "original lineup". Saying "it's not really carcass". Personally, I'd still pay to see them

Sincerely is weird to see a band like Queen with another singer that isn't Freddy Mercury. It's like seing U2 without Bono, Rolling Stones without Mick Jagger. However, if I were a fan, at least I would find cool to see the other members of the band playing the songs, at least once in my life. So it's a nice present to fans. And on the other hand, if they feel to do it, why not? Fans can decide if they go or not to the concert and everybody is happy.
