First Bullet For My Vallentine Record:

As I Lay Dying:

Killswitch Engage:

Atreyu:

Unearth:

Most common tuning is drop C, music is a mix between old school metal and Hardcore punk (explains the name). The song ALWAYS have a breakdown and the singing switches between melodic clean vocals and screaming parts.

Killswitch and as i lay dying are good too, and i enjoyed the latest unearth record, but id put BFMV under the Emo-Core genre.

I don't take labels too seriously as long as the music is good...

Great! I like Bullet For My Vallentine and Killswitch Engage (a lot!). I'll check the other links.

"I don't take labels too seriously as long as the music is good..."

I absolutely agree, the only labels that matter to me are "I like that song" and "I don't like that song" smile.gif

My votes go to

Throwdown,Atreyu, August Burns Red, Becomeing the Archetype, Chimaria, Full Blown Chaos, the best way to find Metalcore bands is to go on myspace, find 1 metalcore band and then check out all their top friends biggrin.gif

Uh Oh the labelers will kill you for this one!^^ Soilwork is Melodic Death Metal from Gothenburg (like In Flames). The Gothenburg Melodic Death is one of the main influences of Metalcore...

Don't know if it falls under the label metalcore (rather humorcore) but Psychostick is a pretty good band.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awzyLJFh1lQ&feature=related

I'll have to warn you though. The lyrics don't make any sense (actually the do, but that is another story) and the video's are somewhat disturbing (though they are relatively family friendly). contains some explicit language.

wink.gif no problem! I have been a fan of that Death Metal sound for years... since In Flames realesed the album Whoracle. Soilwork is also one of my favourites. I think that all these new American bands have been very influenced by that style.

thank you all for the recomendations! I knew many of this bands but there are some names that I've never heard.
