Hello everybody! 
Just wanted to share this with you,maybe some of you will find it interesting.
You've probably seen my new custom from MK Guitars shop in Bosnia.
Order is possible and options are really fine.
You can choose everything,from type of woods,hardware,pick-ups,finish etc.
I mean everything,fully custom.
And I can supervise it for you so it's in safe hands tho. 
Good thing here that it's HOBBY to Mirza who runs this shop
and this is not his main source of living,he's machine engineer btw.
Price for guitar with specs like mine would be around 1250-1300 euros (1810-1885 usd)
which is really great price for this kind of instrument imo!!
I know it is bit expensive for some of you but just wanted to let you know.
If you have any question tho don't hesitate to ask!

Mine is sort of PRS but bigger,guess that something like Ibanez wouldn't be the problem.
I said something like cause he will not copy it 100 %,hope you understand why.

That's not very expensive...Yeah,it isn't.
Large prices are usually caused by big companies and names.
This is still small custom shop.

Yeah i know copying is not allowed for copyright issues, and i even know type of a shape i would love to have. Your guitar is pretty "rounded" that's why i ask about more sharp-edged stuff.

A custom guitar would be very nice, but i love my ibanez neck and i think i can't get a wizard-like neck on that guitar, can I? And it's the same with the edge pro tremolo...

if i had the money i would take one so i think i have to do a lot lessons here and have to live real money-saving. Maybe in the future, I have a good guitar at the moment and i still need a good amp ...

Unfortunately no 
As I said it's only hobby to him and he prefers orders via recommendation.
Having website or page would bring too many people to it
and Mirza can't cover all that.

Maybe thats even better, because not so many people know the shop and the prcie stays as low as it is (for a custom guitar)
And via recommendation its also more personal and makes it easier to communicate I think.

Thanks for the info. I've got two nice guitars and I think learning to play should be prio 1 right now
but I will keep this in the back of my head for the future. Very interesting.

How long does it take to build from placing an order to receiving the guitar?
The only problem I could see is the shipping cost to the UK would be very expensive

Hi and good question,
Building depends of your demands mostly,finishing etc.
Guess 6-7 months top,must ask Mirza for more details.
And will check UK shipping rates for you as well.

Another great one.
Perhaps 30% of the price in advance on bank account shall be fine,
must check this one as well.
We can't receive money through PayPal,Bosnia isn't on the list still.
BUT here comes the best part.
Let's say you get your guitar and you don't like(which is hard to be true tho ).
You can send it back and get your full money amount back!!
As I said,it's not Mirza's main source for living
and he can easily find another buyer for the guitar.

Im kinda going a different way with this.. would he be willing to make a flying V? Because ive been working tediously on a design of a flying V that if i had the ability to make i would.. but i don't.. custom headstock design and all.. im sure making a v isn't much different from a regular guitar so im sure hed be able Maybe ill be in contact because ive wanted to have this guitar made for a long time and the only company who would do it was jackson but they wanted to charge a rediculous amount

If you can check shipping rates to the UK, can you try for the US too? I imagine it'd be pretty ghastly though. I'd love a custom guitar eventually though.

i think i would take a guitar like the Tagima K1 black with a very dark and hard to see green texture shimmering through and 27 frets and a edge pro II tremolo 
This guitar would be a dream Maybe a scalloped fretboard from fret 12 to 27

That's not that bad honestly. Tacked onto the price it's still a very nice price for a custom. Can you find out about the semi hollows though? It's not a necessary thing for me but it'd be pretty cool.

You'll have to make an order with all specs that you want for your guitar,
than Mirza(man who runs the shop) will calculate everything and tell you the price,

I wonder if you have a Rouge or a Viper bridgepickup? What´s the difference between them(tone) and which one do you prefer? pickup-covers-just cosmetics or do they have some kind of function?

First I wanted covered pickup since I sweat a lot
It was Viper with cover.
Then I realized I need more power in pickup and so I took Rogue.
Without cover this time cause rest of my set(singles) is also without cover,looks more compact.
But these covers don't do anything to your sound,
it's just coverage,cosmetic or hygienic,you name it.

Yep,Mirza is just waiting for pups,small problems with the order
but they shall arrive in Bosnia soon.
I spoke with him few days ago,he said your guitar looks brilliant,
and you know what...I believe him.

i really started thinking when i heard your replies concerning buying a prs tremonti for about 2800 eur, and really think about buying a custom guitar - so i am very interested in mk guitars.

the shipping cost from bosnia to austria shouldn´t be too high..

were actually discussing about orders etc.
He had to reject couple of them during summer
cause he was really busy with everything.
But now things are getting back to normal
and he's willing to accept new orders.

I don't know much about payment method
but I think it's done by bank account transfer,
rates are available as well if I'm right.
I'm sure Michael (Micpon) and Chris (Smells)
can give you more details about payments
cause I have nothing to do with it,
it's all discussed between Mirza and customer.
Shipping to UK was about 100$ so I guess
it'd be around the same price for Finland as well.
the guitar looks fantastic and I hope it is.

Just to confirm on Muris`s post, I did mine by bank transfer, didnt have any problems etc, initial deposit to get the guitar underway also. totally worth doing

I transfered the money thru my internetbank. No problems. You have to know Mirzas IBAN-number, BIC/SWIFT-adress and his homeadress. The transfer will take 2-3 days.
I dont think there will be any custom-problems, Bosnia and Finland are both EU-countrys(but Ihavent recieved my guitar yet...)

I don't think Bosnia is still in the EU yet... If they haven't recently been accepted, that I don't know, but they have been given the green light..

Hey Muris. Though I'm not looking for a guitar right now, I'm a hard guy to satisfy when it comes to my guitars and even though I love all of mine, I would prefer to have just one guitar that covers all my bases. Do you think this might still be an option in a year or two?

Hi Muris, can you give me a bit more detailed on what spec do I have to ask? I usually just pay attention to the type of wood and pickups so can you give me a list of things so I can check out?
If the price fits me good I might considering getting one, since it was my idea to get a les paul, this might be a better way to get it, also it will be unique for me ^^
Btw, can you find out how much would be the shipping to Portugal?

Well,some other specs you might look up too are neck radius,type of frets,inlays,
color,type of lacquer,pots configuration etc.
As for shipping,I think it's about 100$ to most countries in Europe.

I sent really exact specs of what I wanted and it would have said Paul Butcher sent the email. I remember I said I'd like the body made of Sitka Spruce which I doubt many ask for.

This guitar is made from Sitka Spruce but not the neck.

Would neck be impossible?
If he can't do Sitka Spruce then how about Koa? Please mention Koa if Sitka Spruce is out of the question.

I believe Sitka Spruce isn't best deal for the neck cause it's too soft.
Koa might be fine but I'm not sure if he has it in his wood library atm,will see.

All I can do is to let him know that you sent it to him,
I really don't want to be involved a lot between Mirza and eventual customer,
there are many reasons for that.

I really don't want to be involved a lot between Mirza and eventual customer,
there are many reasons for that.
Please ask him than if he received an email from one Filipe Rocha, so I can know if it really got sent

Just know one thing,he's extremely busy man,
making guitars is just hobby for him and he probably receives lots of emails everyday
about guitars and about his regular job so he might miss one or few emails.
But will ask him,no worries.

Hi!
I was planning to buy a new guitar and I thought to ask in this forum your opinion when I saw this post just yesterday!
It´s not expensive at all for a custom guitar!
I´ve been playing a Strat for years and i miss some more power? (call it how you want)sound and i was up to buy a new guitar.
I was up to buy an Studio LP but this changes everything!
If Mirza still works this,

Besides i have no real knowledge of what is good or what sounds good.
Is there a way where i can inform myself a bit? or what would you recommend?

But if you wanna order custom guitar then you should really know
100% what are you looking for,what kind of wood,finish,
type of neck,radius,size of frets,electronics etc.
There are many sites explaining those things,
do some googling,you can't miss.

Hi Muris.
I've considered when I can afford it, to get a custom shop guitar from MK guitars. However, the problem is tho the price you named seems to be very cheap, I don't know if I really can know for sure it stays that way
I have importet music gear before using internet sites in Non- EU membership countries and there sometimes the tax has been 50% increased due to import wares. I'm not sure I dare take this risk since it increases the price alot.
But I will have a few years to think about it before I can afford it anyway hehe.
But maybe even if it does increase the price I still consider using MK guitars, because the model you have is just perfect guitar, and I can't believe he doesn't make a living of making those. He must be really skilled!

Yeah, it's just his hobby so far and prices are really low
considering the fact that it's fully hand made,100%.
Maybe one day he'll start working on guitars only
and maybe the price might go a bit higher when he does.
Anyhow, it won't happen in next year or two I guess.

I would like to get on customized guitar one day and looking at your custom guitar, I definitely like to order same but with hambuckers on both neck and bridge. no single coils. And maybe get my own logo.

Well, Let me first 'grab' all your skills or at least 50% and then I will definitely get one. Will call you then. I would love to see some really close up pictures if you or the maker has them somewhere. I want to see the details and admire. Thats what I can do right now.

I would love a beautiful guitar like this. Muris, I wouldn't even know what options to order though. Can this be shipped safely to Canada? What an amazing thing it would be, to have a guitar like this. Would you, still, supervise the build. This is really something to consider for sure.

Shipping isn't the problem, it's about how much it costs tho
since that pretty much determines safety of shipping!
I like to supervise every order that comes with my recommendation
but it's like that I'd be with Mirza all the time,
I let him to finish everything and I test it.
There is no need to watch every step he makes if he
has all specs written nicely.
