Was cleaning up some folders and came across an old song i did.. the mix isnt all that, but it was better than i remembered it to be .. so i thought i would pop it up here smile.gif

I'm using my old drumsoftware, so the drums are a bit static and dull

I think I remember that one smile.gif
It's good, but your new drum setup sounds better as you say smile.gif

Sounds thinner than what you record nowadays,
you should re-record this one and have a guest appearance by Rockepaal laugh.gif

Why choose when you can have both? laugh.gif
I'm in, if I can I'll come up saturday with some gear and beer smile.gif
What do you want me to bring?

You still got a few of my whiskybottles so I think we have enough, right?
Or have you been drinking on your own?? laugh.gif

Wanna do a collaboration?
I'll do the rythm guitar, "singing" and the delivery of the power of rock to Libakken 6b laugh.gif
And you'll do the soloing, programming and whiskydrinking!

We'll be famous, I'm sure of it, haha laugh.gif

Thnxz Trond Vold for your reply on my first post... I've seen a few of your songs and also the one posted after my first post. Well I must say I personaly like it very much... My next songs will be more like those I think... It sounds very experimental (I like that).
I'm listening to song 1.mp3 and I'm playing it for the second time right now and will let it play a few times more times...

Will look forward to your next post!

This is really top notch recording Trond i am digging your rhythmic ideas. I love your lessons for just that reason your rhythmic ideas are unusual and fresh.

I would be really interested in your recording chain, cause your guitars are so fat. Thats the kind of sound i am trying to get but cant quite get there even though i record sometimes 3 to 4 guitar tracks to thicken it up. Takes alot of time to play 4 Rhythm tracks exactly perfect to one another.

Daniel

Thanks! biggrin.gif

My recording chain is as simple as possible. In addition to the guitar, i only use 1 piece of hardware.
I connect my preamp (JMP-1) directly to the soundcard from the mixer-output and record each track twice, then use a mild software compression.
I might EQ the tracks a bit aswell in Cubase, but nothing much. It's the JMP-1 that gives the big punch, especially in combination with EMG pups.

But on my newer songs i use the GT-8 for solo-sounds.
