FRI AUGUST 30th - VCHAT LESSON NOTES
Hello guys! In this session we will talk about Composition but in a different way compared to traditional books. We will analyze around 3 songs of a band to understand the concepts that they use to create their music and then we will try to create an idea based on this concepts. My idea is to show you how I create my "in the style of..." lessons and how I get influence and inspiration from the bands that I like. The topics that we will have in mind to understand their music are: - Song Structure - Chord Progressions - Scales used for Vocal Melodies - Scales used for solos - Arrangements The first band that we will cover is Foo Fighters. The songs that we will have in mind are "Everlong", "Hero", "Wheels" and "Walk". I won't be teaching how to play the songs, there are lots of tabs out there, I will help you to understand how these ones are composed. -------------------- My lessons
