Thanks Todd,

I only have two, that one and one with the holes drilled in a kind of crucifix pattern. I got them from Von. Would be nice to have the full set though. wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif

I thought I ws going to be the first but as I was composing my shot, Ken went and submitted his mad.gif laugh.gif

Cheers

Phil

This is the Prototype, one of a kind pick that will be going to ken for being first out of the gate. It pays to just take action and move forward sometimes, as quickly as possible, before opportunity evaporates. Guitar contests are a great example of this. It's been great to see GMCers jumping in to guitar contests all over the web!!! here is the pick. The one an only

Congrats ot our first winner KEN!! He gets pick for being the first one to put up a submission. It's votes after this! Once we reach a few more, I'lll put up the poll. After the poll goes up, that's it. You can share your pic but you can't win the contest. Love the shares so far!!

CONTEST IS CLOSED!!!!

Good News!!! EVERYBODY WINS!!!
Since we had only 3 entries, and ken one for being first, I'll shoot a pick out to the other two entries as well. That way, instead of one winner getting two picks, everybody that took the time to take a picture gets a spiff guitar pick!!!
The photo showing the inventory was an older picture so various picks are not available as a result of other contests since the pic was taken. The good news is, every body that took a picture, gets a pick. I'll shoot a PM to our Winners and I"ll take the liberty of selecting a pick from remaining stock.
CONGRATS!!!

Thank you! I'm happy to be a part of the GMC family! smile.gif

This is a real treat, the Von Hotch pick. It's much thicker than what I am used to but it's also a huge upgrade from Dunlop's alu picks I've been enjoying for some time. It feels like Christmas has come early this year.
I've never tried Dunlop Jazz III picks and now I see why they are so popular. The other picks are great too! My default material of choice is tortex because it's not too slippery but it's always fun to try out new things smile.gif

TORTEX/ULTEX gets a bit bendy when it gets warm due to the heat given off by the hands. It's why I had to quit using them. Any pick flex/bend at flight speed can cripple precision. The VonHotch are a bit thick but the great thing is that they are only thick where you hold it, adding grip. Where the pick hits the string it's beveled in to a point with a nice long beveled edge which makes string traverse much easier. The small holes also add grip preventing the pick from shifting to a new angle while playing. It's a brilliant design. There are not very many of these hand made Von picks wandering around in the world. Congrats on getting your own smile.gif

Todd

I honestly recommend the von hotch picks as training tookls to everyone who picks up a guitar .
