I'm somewhat surprised, but not totally. Tom Scholz has to be the most epic guitarist of all time. In fact, he invented the "epic" guitar sound. But the thing is, Boston is only popular in the US, as far as I know, and all the instructors live outside of the US. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the instructors haven't even heard of Boston, or Tom Scholz. He is most certainly one of my favorite guitarists biggrin.gif

wow, check the sales of "Boston" it is classic, above many bands ...

Boston is an American rock band from Boston, Massachusetts that achieved its most notable successes during the 1970s and 1980s. Centered on guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, and producer Tom Scholz, the band is a staple of classic rock radio playlists.[1] Boston's best-known works include the songs "More Than a Feeling", "Peace of Mind", "Foreplay/Long Time", "Rock and Roll Band", "Smokin'", "Don't Look Back" and "Amanda." They have sold over 31 million albums in the United States, of which 17 million are their self-titled debut album and 7 million are their second album, Don't Look Back.[2][3]

31 Million albums of which 17 were the First Album..and 7 the Second..and no one knows them over seas?? wow like saying we don't know the Beatles over here..

I think I should do a Wiki entry on them, and on Tom Scholz. He's a very interesting character, once you get to know his background you'll understand why Boston's music sounds the way it does.

I want a lesson on those harmonies, aside from Maiden they have some of the fullest sounding harmonies.

Hey mate! Sincerely as I said before, I have never listened their music (maybe on the radio but without knowing the name of the band). Let's do something, please post here 10 songs that you love from them and I will analyze them and create a lesson. I have the method to understand the music of a band and create a piece based on them in order to explain their way of composing and arranging. smile.gif

I know them obviously by name, but never been into their music. I'm checking their 10 best songs, and they are really good, I can say that I heard the chorus of "More than a feeling" I can notice that bands that I listened like Alcatraz, Impellitteri, Malmsteen, Rainbow (maybe these ones are contemporary) and many other are strongly influenced by them.
