...and eventually comments.

I'm going to my girlfriend's parents' house today and for the next couple of days. I'll be bringing my laptop along, so I'll try to get the rest of the comments done.

Here's the final mix though.

Alright, guys.

I can't seem to find the time or motivation to get this done, but I came up with a solution that you might like or you can do if you want to.

It would be cool if each of you write a bit about your own take and compare it to the other takes and write a bit about how you could have done things better and what you think worked well and not so well. See if you can find flaws and positives in your own playing smile.gif

Oooh, thats was an easy task!

Cons:
a) I could have played other notes.
cool.gif I could have played them tighter.
c) I could have hired a pro musician to play instead.

Pros:
a) The sound is smooth.
cool.gif The last lick sounds good.
c) There is at least some hope for me, in 20 years or so....

Well, ok here goes.

Rhythm placement: I think I hit it pretty good. I wrote tabs for most of this so the time sig had little effect, timing worked ok. The backing had that odd timing sound feel to it so the rhythm groove was easy to catch a feel. As usual there are places I hit a tad early or late but thats why I keep trying.

Techniques: I am starting get a great feel for my techniques. I feel more confident and I can hear that in my takes. Little too much use of the same start and stop on this one, putting many of the stops at the end of each bar. Felt like my technique was acceptable here. Plus, all the stops were good practice to me since I like to leave the out. lol

Sound: Work out pretty good for my ear. But many times in these collabs, a sound one may like while others don't. I tried a few sounds and started with a little crunch and delay but backed of each one a couple times during the practice runs.

Over all: This collab turned out about a 6 on my personal scale. I have many such as this that land 4-6. I have only had a couple that is think are 8's or more and quite a few low end ones. All depends on the amount of time spent writing it and then practicing it. Average time spent on this one so we get average results.

It was a fun backing to play over, for that is always cool
