mmm I think that it's a very used type of riffing so I don't believe that this is something done on purpose.

Maybe we can accuse them for being such a big band and not coming up with more original riffs then?! biggrin.gif

hahaha yes, I feel that the last DT albums are being a bit repetitive compared to their masterpieces.

It's got to be really hard to come up with new "original" music when you've written so much music in your own style - your own style becomes "old-hat" because that's what you always play! Rush, I think was one of those rare groups whose music always seemed to evolve with the times and retain some originality to it, but you could always tell it was rush by the tone, drums and guitars. Pretty amazing. DT, likewise has done a lot of stuff that I think is amazingly original. I can't fault a band for having a few songs that sound like someone else's work. There are so many bands out there, with so many songs, you could conceivably write something that someone else has written and not know it.

anyhoo, DT rules!

They do sound similar but not very close to be plagiarized.
I love Feed the Machine. I play that song on my guitar all the time. smile.gif

I would say its just heavy influence, but not close enough to be plaigarism.

Sounds coincidental to me. I mean, there is no reason for DT to rip anyone off. They probably have more actual hours of music than most bands.

Based on the sheer amount of different things going on with every DT album, something as small as this is nothing. I mean, they have probably written several years worth of music laugh.gif
