You can make your own backing tracks by using Band in a Box software. Its really worth it and you can make any chord progression you like in many styles!

Check out my modes workshop lesson. IT has backings that go from I-VII chord in sequence, so you can practice all modes at the same time. If you want those backings PM me, and I'll post them on my board. cheers.

I'm on the lookout for some backing track with simple power chords that let's me change mode throughout the song. For example, a backing track with the progression A5, D5 and E5 would suit me good (an even simpler one could also work, even less restrictions then), as I can play A ionian, A dorian, A mixolydian and A aeolian over these chords. Don't have the possibility to record one myself, unfortunately. That's why i'm asking; do anyone of you know where I can get one\some easy powerchord metal\rockish backing tracks for mode practicing? Thank you DrPhibes Check my Modes workout lesson here https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...-modes-workout/ Not metal or rockish but you can play easily each mode for 16 bars over its relative 7th chord. -------------------- ::: Main Gear ::: Guitars: Washburn N4 Vintage | Washburn N2 | Washburn WI67Pro | Washburn WG-587 | Washburn EA20B Amps: Laney GH50L (head) | Laney GS410 & GS212IE (cabinets) | Rocktron PROGAP Ultra (rack preamp) | Rocktron Velocity 150 (power amp) | Marshall VS230 (combo) FXs: Rocktron Intellifex + custom pedalboard (check my video demo) Other: Shredneck | Intellitouch PT10 tuner Picks: Esseti Picks Software & Recording Gear: Cubase 4 | Overloud TH1 | Mackie Onyx 400F | EZdrummer | Korg Pandora PX4D ------------------------------------------------------- myspace.com/jerryarcidiacono Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |

Whilst I may not be answering your original question, if you're practising modes have you tried Mr. Fastfinger's Guitar Shred Show
