Hey guys! I was listening to Jeff Buckley while I was exploring our forum and I remembered that big names as Chris Cornell (Soundgarden), Chris Martin (Coldplay), Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Matt Bellamy (Muse) have said that he has been a big influence for them.
I searched for a list of "little known influential musicians" and I've found him there:

What other musicians could you add to this list?
Most 'jazz' guitarists play chord voicings and an accompaniment style pioneered by a guy named George Van Eps.
Early rockers and country players were influenced by the guys in Bob Wills' band (the Texas Playboys) - Junior Barnard, Eldon Shamblin and Jimmy Wyble.
*All these guys were playing electric by the late 30's and could be heard on the radio (AM) all over the country - especially at night when the AM freqs traveled farther.
Nick Drake
Fairport Convention
Incredible String Band
(all produced by Joe Boyd) Were very influential on the British 'psychedelic' rock scene. *Boyd produced Pick Floyd early on.
