Been playing for a couple of years (I suck)! I'm 36 years old and my 6 six year old son is catching up quick! I Practice daily, and believe a metronome is almost as important as the actual instrument.
My musical tastes run the spectrum...
Grateful Dead, Metallica, John Prine, Nanci Griffith, SRV, Pink Floyd, POD, Michael Hedges, Hendrix, Zepplin, Warren Haynes, Phish...I'm old so the new neo-metal stuff doesn't inspire me to much though I can appreciate it!
I don't want to be a 'pro', I do want to be an excellent well rounded guitar player.
