It depends what you need it for, the only time you will get a decent sound out of it is on gigs, where you have the chance to crank it all the way up. This sucker is loud and I mean LOUD.

It's not what I'm looking for in a Marshall. I think EL34's are more genuine than the EL84's that sits in this amp. Sure, it still sounds "marshall" but with a twitch.

I can get a Marshall JCM2000 DSL401 for $400 is that a good idea? 400 dollar is a very good price for such an amp, however, the downside of DSL is that it has no preamp output. |
