Well said smile.gif Music education at a young age helps develop the mind. Even listening to music helps the brains of infants develop.

Yeah, I only had one in the first two years of comprehensive school when it was compulsory, he either let us bring records in, those 12" black things with a long groove either side or he made steam train noises with his synth sad.gif Needless to say, I didn't take music as an A level subject. I wish I had though unsure.gif

First time I went to music school I was about 8 or 9 years old. For months we did nothing else than reading ta ta tititit taa titi ta ....... without even naming notes. Being a verry impatient kid I was so disapointed and craving for something to make noise with, please give me a drum, or a piano, a guitar or HELL.... even a flute !!!!! mad.gif Whatever but these Tata titi 's are killing me here!!!!! ohmy.gif So, when the teacher was bravely going on with her ta's and ti's , I was knocking with everything I could find on about everything I could hit tongue.gif The result : After 3 months I got suspended from music class laugh.gif and joined a street drumband. cool.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif Now THAT was FUN!!!!!!

When I grew a little older I understood I had to be a little more patient , and went back to music class.

I can't hear a word in my laptop, I'll give this another chance at my studio. But based on what you are commenting here, it seems that this has some relation to Victor Wooten's music & life philosophy.

Very similar, I think, if memory serves me right (I haven't watched the above video yet) Victor Wooten is about life influencing your music, this gentleman talks of playing an instrument influencing your life in everything you do.
